The following document contains information on how to use the CATS system. This will be updated periodically as needed. If you have any questions or comments, please see the forum located on the BURP website. After downloading CATS and starting it, you are required to choose one site you wish to monitor.

1. Select a site available in the list or type one in the textbox to be monitored. Click “Accept” at the bottom and the system will check the site’s validity.

2. This is the main screen. All available sessions are listed in the Session list. This list is searchable via the search bar and drop-down list.

3. You can start typing the session number and the list will automatically be searched or start typing the Session name and the list will automatically be searched. All sessions that contain the searched characters will be shown. When two or more sites are being monitored, you can use the drop-down list to narrow the search further.

4. You can refresh the session list at any time. Any searches will remain after a refresh.

5. CATS will automatically choose a language according to geographical location if that language is currently supported. The default language is English if your language is not supported. To choose a different language, uncheck the “Use system default locale” box.

Choose a language from the drop-down box and click Select.

6. To add or remove projects from the monitored list, go to Options > Add/Remove Projects.

  • To move a site to the “Not Monitored” list, select it and press the >> button.
  • To move a site back to the “Monitored” list, select it and press the << button.
  • To remove sites entirely, move them to the “Not Monitored” list and click the Clear This List button.

7. To download a project, select the project while in the main page. Click the Download button. When the “Start downloading a session” window opens, select a destination for the project. Enter the frame range you wish to download, set to download all frames by default. The Filename syntax is used to name the folder and files.

The Downloads tab allows a user to view download progress for all downloads. This shows the number of images rendered (images will be downloaded after they are rendered) along with images downloaded, total size downloaded and download speed.

  • Click Pause at anytime to pause the selected download
  • Click Resume to continue paused download
  • Click Abort to stop and remove the session from downloads

8. Finally, to enable proxy support open the proxy menu by selecting Proxy Configuration under the Options menu. This is a simple menu allowing you to turn on and off the proxy. If the Proxy support is turned on CATS will use the provided proxy information for all network traffic. When a proxy address and port number are entered in the appropriate fields and the ok button is clicked, CATS will test the supplied information to see if the given server is valid. If the information provides a good connection CATS will use the proxy and save the information for further runs.

Happy session browsing!
