Attaching final versions to sessions

I would like to ask you guys how should the functionality giving the "animator" (meaning the creator of any given animation session) a way to post the final, composited version of their work on the website and link it to a session (or sessions for that matter). I think that this could be an important feature for many, as we right now don't offer a nice way of posting such things. This could also help people promote their productions.

Two ideas that I've come up with so far have been:

  • Let the "animator" add a link (with one click) to the finished post on Vimeo or Youtube video to a node
  • Make a completely free "wall" for people to post works that have used Renderfarm.fi, this would enable promoting all kinds of uses - not just videos

Now that I think about it, should we maybe use both options and just make a one-click "add link" field to the session under which the "animator" can attach any link. We could then make a page which aggregates these actions, collecting some additional info from the link added to the session.

So what do you guys think? All suggestions are highly appreciated and will be taken into consideration.

I live in Africa, therefore

I live in Africa, therefore bandwidth is not fast or cheap.

However youtube is fast, vimeo requires some caching.

I would rather watch the animations on youtube if I had a chance, especially as the current player doesn't cache the videos.
