Render Engines
Hey, so I just rendered something with lux, and now I'm on a external-render craze :p
Out of curiosity, what are the chances or plans of integrating lux/indigo etc into the renderfarm.fi distribution of blender for us to use?
.. but I guess I can say we're looking at the possibilities. :)
You mean there could be a way to integrate indigo? Oh, I'm sorry, no comment :-P
Who knows, maybe even Indigo would be doable some day (depends on the owner of the technology I guess - we could theoretically distribute clients if we just had a signed contract stating that we can do so), but not really talking about that right now. I think the focus here would probably be very much on the open source licensed render engines.
Luxrender would already be nice enough :)
So, what about LuxRender? It's very good render. Or YafaRay? Blender's render ugly...
Just wondering if there has been any more thought to integrating LuxRender. IMHO, this is where the farm could really shine and prove immensely useful.
They talked about it in their blenderconference presentation. I think they said early next year.
Exciting stuff.
Thanks for the input guys. Like Overkill stated in the previous post, we are really working on giving Renderfarm.fi Luxrender support. It's proven to offer some challenges so far, but I'm quite confident we'll manage to get it up and running by Q1/Q2 2011.
Hello,
Can I run BOINC on more than one machine on my network or do I need separate USERIDs for each machine?
On one of my machines, I'm getting "No Running Tasks" when it goes into screensaver mode - is that normal? My other machine has my info on it...
thanks,
rich

I dont think indigo can be integrated, cause it's now commercial as far as I know.
