Looks like there are too high

Looks like there are too high memory requirements for current WUs. They all die on 1.5GB machine

i too suffer form memory

i too suffer form memory issues, if 2 WU's are recived on my machine it starts to swap and slows down everything, and also increases the times to render, as the cpu's don't get fed fast enought.

is there a way to limit the number of tasks sent to me ? or could the server decide how many wu;s i can properly render,  based on the availabele memory on my system ?

I should have consulted jbk

I should have consulted jbk (burp.renderfarming.net) on this session before submitting. The work was submitted with the highest available memory limitation configuration, but apparently the work was still sent to machines with lower memory specs. I'm not sure if I had misunderstood something about the session configuration of BURP or if there was some other error that caused this problem.

Still learning, still very much in beta. On a brighter note I've gotten a couple of people much brighter than myself aboard so I'm sure we'll be doing much better in the future, once they're more in control of what happens on the server.

hello! any progress on

hello! any progress on this?

http://i42.tinypic.com/2rory13.png

this effectively blocked ALL boinc calculations on core2duo machine because it waited for user action (click ok on messagebox)

please consult Janus in BURP, as they use same blender in burp and there is no any user-related messages when WU errors. Maybe tere is a special parameter to fail "silently". This is really important, because people crunch other projects beside ORE

"Silent crashing of Blender"

Thanks Rilian. I hope we can fix this issue in the future. I'll be consulting both Janus and Nathan Letwory (jesterking) about this.

I realise I'm a bit late to

I realise I'm a bit late to the party, but this is still happening here:

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
BOINC 6.10.56 (x86)

4GB DDR 1066
Core2Quad Q8400

EDIT: Actually, I probably shouldn't be running x86 boinc on 64bit architecture. In any case, the issue should not happen :>
