how to use cats?

When I was updated the website during the week I'd forgotten to add some links that are necessary in order for CATS to work. I tested it now and it's working again. Sorry for that.

Burp.renderfarming.net is currently in stages of some server updating and is not completely functional.

i am new to this and i dont know how to download my video. I have gone searching and there saying i have to use CATS. but when i search on cats my video is not there or anything. How do i get my video there to download it. Do i have to wait till its finished encoding? (just says encoding begins). Sorry about the annoying question

Once all the frames are rendered, your video needs to be encoded. The encode queue seems to be stuck at the moment. (http://renderfarm.fi/status.php). Once they get it working again you'll see it on your session page under "Downloads" here, or "Attached files" here. But theses are just basic videos in a web/streamable and full resolution version.

If you want to make you're own video (what I usually do), you can download the original rendered frames using a program called CATS. A java program that lets you connect to the farm and get all the files for your session. You can start using CATS as soon as frames are available (while other frames are still rendering).

This tutorial is about downloading frames and adding effects after they are rendered (lots of useful tips). Someone else may have a more direct tutorial somewhere (can't find it right now).
