Blender.exe Conflict

I have blender.exe set as an exclusive app in my BOINC cc_config, so that BOINC will not use precious resources while I am working in Blender (otherwise, the viewport will lag).  But when renderfarm.fi runs, it suspends itself and everything else due to the fact that an instance of blender.exe is running.  Is there a configuration to get around this, or will I have to either stop running renderfarm.fi or pause BOINC manually while working in Blender?

Hm, you could simply rename

Hm, you could simply rename your work Blender.exe into something else and define that in the cc_config. Say, "Blender_nonrenderfarm.exe". That way you could avoid this.

Give it a go

I'll try this, and see how it goes. My concern with this option is having other libraries, DLLs, EXEs, etc. that are dependant on the name of the Blender EXE. I'll give it a try, and let you know how it goes next time I get around to doing some blending.
