Hi, i'll ask straight up. Is this project still developed for supporting Iron Sky render workload?

Or are we just doomed to test this page forever and ever :) Small rendering stuff.

I mean, Are we still on? Is The Development going on or has it stopped?

I'm Hoping it is going on.

Yarr!!!

I hadn't heard anything about

I hadn't heard anything about that, but contributing towards something the public will see would be cool. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of anything going on here at the moment, though.

Hehe, someone has been digging through the sponsor list I guess =) Most of the admins are on xmass/new years vacations at the moment so things are slow.

Actually i know about this

Actually i know about this "sponsor" thing of Wreck A Movie. And heard from few guys at energia ones aphone time that suthc a project was about to Rise from the ... well =) dust?

So what do i think is the problem of this site? Well it's not the "code" I'm thinking more of the advertising and getting involved with other projects like wreck a movie... And generally just telling to ppl in wreck a movie, that HEY! we are here! use US!

Or are we still in beta? alpha maybe

Alpha/beta ..

We've been focusing on the creation of a DVD that includes a build of Blender with the uploader preinstalled. This means that we've been conducting some testing and trying to make it as simple as possible to use. This Renderfarm.fi distribution of Blender 2.5 will become available for download also from the website as soon as it's finished. Builds for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX will be maintained.

I'm in a state of redesigning the website to finally make it actually usable. Once I finish going through the design, I will post it to the blog for any comments that you guys would like to make. The focus will be on the animations and "animators" more and we'll put the BOINC stuff in the background. Although this might bewilder some of the BOINCers at first, I think it will make the website a lot more usable for the graphic artist. The vision of what should be done and where focus should be on has developed a lot since last summer, although this hasn't really shown up on the website.

New look and bugs being slowly worked out

Heya,

Thought I'd quickly add that we now fixed the annoying breadcrumb problem on the forums. You can now go up the threads without having to always use the back button. That was some annoying stuff there.

Anyway I hope you enjoy the new B-movie look. The Renderfarm.fi distribution of Blender 2.5a0 will be up within a week. This will also mean that Renderfarm.fi will start supporting 2.5a0 renders.

Work halted for a couple of weeks still ..

Hey,

I'm terribly sorry but the reason why work has halted here is that I simply don't have time to go through the animations currently. I'm trying to finalize the reporting for the project and it's really taking up all my time. Work will reprogress after the 29th of March, once I'll get a couple of more hands working with me on the project.

The first thing that will happen is that we'll aim to get working 2.5A2 distributions of both RF.fi Blender and the BURP client out. After this we'll start accepting work (and hopefully make steady progress with them).

A helping hand

I have been involved with BURP since early days of burp.boinc.dk and at one point there i was the most active user in the forums (even including Janus) by a long shot. After *many* errors and problems in sessions i created I think I have a handle on what needs correction. I also read all of the BURP V.1 code which I know is now obsolete. I wonder if people like myself couldn't take a look at the files that have been submitted and get a preliminary check of files done and post results in the comments so that you might have enough time to quickly take a look at that and accept a few sessions? the intent being to make your process faster and easier.

~Thanks for the updates, Istvan.
