Joining project from BOINC & Login Issues
Submitted by andy2029 on Mon, 2011-04-11 13:34Hello,
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, installed the BOINC client and followed the instructions on the "Volunteer" page to the letter. However, every time I input my email and password, I get an error saying that the login failed as the details are incorrect. I have tried every password that I've ever set up with my account, and no-go.
I have checked my firewall and it's letting everything through as it should. Can anyone help me resolve this?
Many thanks,
Andy Curry

Blender 2.5 Mac OSX clients being tested

The 32 and 64 bit Intel Mac OSX clients are near finished and will be deployed and tested today. If the deployment goes well, it will mean that for the first time BURP's history, Mac users can join projects as equal contributors.
We're also getting close to releasing the new version of the Renderfarm.fi distribution of Blender (perhaps later on during the week) and the website will also get some new features during the next few weeks.
Blender 2.5 Linux/Windows being tested

Cool news as we've managed to get the Blender 2.5 builds for both 32bit and 64bit Windows/Linux operating systems running. We're currently testing their functionality by running some sessions. If all goes well, we can start accepting work as before and move on to officially supporting Blender 2.5. Meanwhile, the Mac OSX clients are being worked at and will hopefully be available during the next couple of weeks.
Blender 2.5 Renderfarm.fi Distribution
In the coming weeks we'll also be providing you guys with a new build of the Renderfarm.fi distribution of Blender 2.5, with an improved version of the uploader. Until that time, however, please use the previous version to upload stuff. The webform seems to be disfunctional at the time being and we've been having trouble pinpointing the problem (we're working on getting it fixed).
